Should I be leading the flop here?

hero check raises or leads, those are the only two plays in my opinion unless you call and lead turn, which is marginal too......... i prefer leading here as he probably calls J J 10 10 type hands here as well as AK and A Q suited.... lead or check raise seem to be the best lines.

If you check here you miss your chance to take away the pot, and also you don't get any information about Villains hand. If you make your standard continuation bet, now Villains call/raise would give you more information about his hand so you can reevaluate with the new information.

C/C flop and C/F turn against another bet.
check raising sucks.
I olso don't like leading this.
Here is an interesting post about a spot just like this.
web page (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=8811302&page=0&fpart=1&v c=1&nt=3)
There are some good points made there by Ama and Winalot

check raising sucks why? its no different then call leading the turn except for the fact it doesnt give a behind villian a free card to catch up..... plus it reps AK....... if you lead and he calls in position, which i would do with any 77-1010, and then u check he pushes you off, if you check and he bets half pot, which is weird to begin with, and then u check raise, 77-1010 dumps the flop here...... of course a better hand calls at which point your forced to slowdown and you really have all the info you need, im not recommending a check raise, but its good to mix up your play so you dont always get pushed off QQ on this flop by mid pairs like your likely to be here sometimes

I try to believe villian. He's telling me he has a K. I suppose there is a chance he has 44-JJ, but ... why would he bet those? Is he really betting half pot specifically to make me fold JJ,QQ,AQ while risking being check-raised by AA,KK,AK? Nah. Most villians don't do that- a bluff would be bigger. Mabe a really aggro villian who bets whenever checked to you can call down. Maybe if you have a read that 1/2pot=weak hand. The rest? They have a K.

fwiw I really prefer a cbet/ but I will check raise occasionally here, which is definately how i would play aces sometimes, and if i check and he bets and I dont raise, i just fold, but once checked and he bets, imo its re raise or fold, thats what i was trying to say

Ok, my plan was to lead out any non scare card (an ace in this situation).

I'm starting to think leading any turn for 3/4 is good though now..anyway..

yeah this is a fold. i guess you could lead here to rep the A if you wanted to get tricky, but that's a very marginal play.

Looks like he's testing the water with a hand like KQ. You could try and make him fold, but I really would'nt bother - I'd just fold.
