you weren't reraised anywhere in this hand

3-bet PF, stop taking weird ass lines like donking half the pot into the raiser, this is full ring and belongs in the full ring forum

Its played pretty badly.
With the line you took you never defined Villains hand so he can have literally anything.
Don't try and be tricky with AA OOP at these levels. Go ahead and raise it preflop to $4. Sure he might fold but it just makes the hand easier for you to play.
As played preflop, you have to check to raiser. Then you can pop a re-raise on his c-bet.
As played, the turn and river are probably ok as your previous play means he could have anything here.

too passive. I think the idea with aces is to hope he has something he likes from the beginning and take it from there. OOP i'd like this finished early so I rr preflop and lead flop. If I was calling preflop against an agro opponent i'd be putting a big question to him on the flop, calling a push on this board otherwise pushing the turn.

Raising AA pre-flop is the best move you can make here.

A lot of people tend to think "disguising" the hand is the right play, because they feel if they raise, they won't get any action with their hand. At these stakes, it is almost never a good idea to disguise pocket Aces, if ever. You also get a better read when raising.

The other main reason that raising pre-flop is important is since you are favored to win the hand at that point, you are just adding value to your big hand. If they call you end up making more through out the course of the hand.

This is standard.

Attempting a c/r after a preflop reraise is a limidonk move and will only lead to smaller pots.

How is this possible? You can't raise more hands then you play.

Hey thanks for the replies.

It's funny because I do read these forums and try to improve but I guess in the moment the AA took me over. I was almost sure the button was just stealing so by reraising I'd push him off and so I acted stupidly and just called preflop.

The stats are from poker office and were % flops seens % rivers seen when seen the flop and % pf raises, not sure the standard is for which stats to give but basically I was getting over he seemed pretty loose once he was in a pot.

He had KQ anyway, all the advice in here is solid thanks for the kick in the ass.
