This spot sucks, honestly, I don't think you lose much be folding, but I can never resist calling in these spots. I think you see near nuts here quite often though from someone this passive.

I wouldn't let the river bet trouble me too much. I don't know what Villain is doing either, but obviously you're at least calling.

And I guess that's what I'd do. I mean, if that bet is a blocker, at least it's not that small (I wouldn't have bet all that much more if checked to anyway).

I think you see the nut heart draw here most of the time.

On my best days I value raise.

Yeah, this possibility escaped me somehow, but it does make sense.

Of course, Villain's play doesn't really have to make sense /images/graemlins/laugh.gif, so he could have 54s or something instead.

Ok, so no one has a problem with calling?

You're getting like 7:2 with aces up. I didn't like folding here even before the AhXh possibility got pointed out.

Check behind on the turn and call the river.

I think I agree with this. I'm checking behind on the turn for pot-control.

I think we miss a lot of value by checking behind vs a 40/8.4/.78 villain. He could call with a worse J, a flush draw, any PP 22-TT or worse. I'm taking the bus to valuetown here.

I agree, you need a small pot here, also because if he called the flop raise he will call almost any turn bet w/ a strong draw.

On the river call or bet for value if he checks

Remember, villain is passive, meaning he is also check-calling his monster hands. We only have top pair, let's not build an enormous pot with it.

[/ QUOTE ]If he calls a turn bet with a strong draw (or any draw) that's EXACTLY a reason to bet, right? If you are holding 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif4/images/graemlins/heart.gif would you like me to check or to bet this turn?

check behind - call river is good to
- induce bluffs from more aggro players : not the case
- prevent yourself from getting c/raised of a better hand : not the case, you can easily fold if you get c/raised here by a passive player

I've seen sooo many donks (even these passive ones) bluffing the river with a busted draw after you check behind the turn.

As played I easy call the river.

Call river, split pot.

Not really sure how you say split pot. Are you putting the villian on AJ also? Hero has two pair A's and J's

I can never fold this for better or worse odds are too good if you lost then its just BBV.

Check turn is good too but betting is fine IMO

I couldn't agree with this more. I don't know about you guys, but I make my money when I bet my hands against people who have draws or weaker hands.
