IMO, you need to raise that flop and hope villain hit a J or has a PP. Anytime you hit a set on a dry flop your aim should be to build a pot early to maximize your chances of getting your stack in by the river. Given that villain is '2 for 2 on c-bets', there is also an excellent chance that he will play back at you, interpreting that your flop donk bet is simply an attempt to take the play away from him on a flop that shouldn't offer much to anyone.

I would bet into him on the flop, I think this line yields far greater results then a cr.

OK. My thinking was if I donked it, he might shut down (25 hands isnt much of a read). So I'd call the C-bet, and hope he improves on turn, the c/r turn.
But I guess if he doesnt have anything, he doesnt have anything.

I like c/c flop and lead turn. The board is very dry so we aren't worried about any draws. I think leading the flop a mistake. Most of the time here he's just gonna have crap and we have a read that he might be the type of player who liberally cbets, so we should let him put some more money in with nothing. If he has an overpair the moeny probably going in anyway, but on the flop we shoudl be worried about maximizing our EV against his entire range.

If he has nothing on the turn he probably isn't putting any more money in and we don't have a read that he likes to double barrel so raise is good cause he'll prolly call with a pair that he'd might check behind with and we'll lose a street of value.
