I hate this, especially since I don't really have a read. Standard or stupid?

I know I'm really nitty for saying this but I usually fold this to the 3bet preflop, especially without a read. As played, I fold the turn.

Am I folding pf more because of my hand or because of my position?

he also almost timed out before shoving the turn if that's relevant.

More because of my position, if SB had raised it to 7, I'd feel better about calling. Still, I'm not usually crazy about playing 3bet pots w/ AQ

Your folding pf because you don't have reads, your oop, and your hand. AQ isn't a hand you want to play against an unknown oop in a 3 bet pot because of this spot. You hit your hand and have no idea if your ahead.

so let's say our positions are reversed and on the flop he bets into me. do i have any better of an idea of where i'm at then now?

fold preflop because this hand sucks

I'd fold pre-flop also. Had I raised button or so and someone who has 3 bet me a few times 3 bets me than I may call, but I'm not calling a 3bet out of position with no reads holding AQ.

I really just can't see you beating anything on the turn here.

If your positions were reversed the whole hand would play out differently. He would have bet pf and you probably would have just called his bet. As a result the pot is about 1/3 the size which is good because this isn't a hand you want to play big pots with. Now if he bets into you on this flop you could either call or raise and re-evaluate from there. It is much much easier to play the hand in position.

gross turn card

call sometimes, call like always if turn was like an 8/T/J

Fold to 3bet PF. If you call, I think you have to donkbet the flop in case he has AK, because he's going to bet 100% of the time here and you have no idea where you are without forcing him to make a decision.

How is that a grss turn card? That turn card looks like it changes nothing to me.

Donk bets in 3bet pots, unless you are over 200deep, are completely unnecessary since you have no space to maneuvre and you decision is solely based on your opponents range and the board.

the 2 polarizes his range even more

It was a 3. Shame!

Could you elaborate more on what the turn card changes? I would be much less inclined to call a j or a 10 since pocket jacks and 10's are both in his range. I fail to understand what that 3 has changed.

Its a joke people. Its a joke. If you call flop, the turn card changes absolutely nothing and you have to call it.
