What does the new French President mean for poker in France?

There have been some tightening of French poker regulations recently. Does the election of the new French president help or hurt poker in France?

As far as I seem to know there is no way they can get away with banning it if they wanna stay a part of europe.

the new president doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who would legalize poker... Also I don't think Europe has that much control over that

well Italy had the same kind of problem. A few months after the ban the game got legalized. Bruxelles has that kind of power.
