Hello all!

I will be travelling to Germany next week and of course will be looking for some chances to subsidize the trip /images/graemlins/wink.gif. We will be driving down from Dusseldorf (can't wait to hit the autobahn!) into Switzerland so anything along that general route would be great.

I would love to play at Baden Baden but I know they only spread poker on the weekends. What limits do they have and how is the level of play?

Any other info on any of the casinos which have NL in that area is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dortmund has also a casino: Hohensyburg. I don't know the limits but Dortmund isn't far from Düsseldorf.

There's a 10-50 spread limit game in Duisburg, just north of Düsseldorf. I'm not sure how frequent it is, however.

Also, don't get too excited about the Autobahn, the route you're taking is likely pretty jammed (depending on time and weekday) and the no speed limit strips aren't too frequent either.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you too much about casino poker here, it's still in its infancy, especially when it comes to NLHE.

Either way, drive safely, and enjoy your stay in Switzerland.

As you´ll presumably go south via Autobahn No. 3, just take a stop in Wiesbaden (about 200 km south of Düsseldorf - located near Frankfurt). They have cash games every evening and especially great action (i.e. four tables at a time, which isnt the Venetian, but hey: This is Germany !) on mondays, tuesdays, thurdays and sundays, while and after they re running tournaments ...

In Baden-Baden they play mosttimes PLO with 10/20 Euro the blinds and if enough people they may open a second table with 5/10 Euro the blinds (PLO too). The rake is very high. The games are only on Fridays and Saturdays.

You can play Holdem in Basel (Switzerland at the border to Germany) with 5/10 SFR (That is 3/6 Euro) Blinds NL or 20/40 SFR limit holdem. You can also play in Switzerland in Baden and St. Gallen (both near Zürich), in Bern, Montreaux (at the Lake Geneve) and Luzern.

In Wiesbaden they play 5/10 Euro NL holdem and at some days it will be 5/10 Euro PLO.

The level of play it is in most German casinos similarly to 50$ NL online I would say. Many old people which have the money but not much skill, some younger regulars and some people coming from a online backround not that bad like the older guys.

Wiesbaden is best.

You may also go to Bad Homburg near
Frankfurt. Bad Homburg Casino is the
mother of the Monte Carlo Casino.

Be sure to check the dress code of
the casino in advance /images/graemlins/smile.gif

i would rather go to a holland casino.
