Questions about bankroll and moving up?

So I've been playing poker pretty seriously as a student of the game for about 6 months for cash games and an additonal 3 months or so of SNG's. I've probably got about 30-40k hands at 6-max. I started a new bankroll back at the end of march of $200 and have played 10NL for over 10k hands with a winrate of about 5PTBB/100 hands. It's been MUCH better in the last 5k hands. I want to take a shot at 25NL. In my poker account I have about $425, I have a $150 rakeback check coming in a week, and still $125 in bonus to clear. From these three sources, can I count it all as my bankroll, just the rakeback and poker account, or just my poker account? I said I'd move to 25NL at 20-22 buy-ins. I have the confidence that I can beat it. Can I move up now or wait for the rake back?

I would move up if you are ready to play. $425 should be fine. If you are concerned about losing money, drop back down to 10NL if your roll drops to $300-$325.

Generally, you should take a shot at the next level gradually. Let's say you work your roll up to $750 playing 25NL. Maybe throw in a table of 50NL now and again to get used to the higher stakes while playing other 25NL tables. Then, the "jump" doesn't seem so drastic.

i would say you are safe to move up with 425$

As long as you're a solid winner at a lower stake, and have the discipline to drop down if you hit a downswing (Whether it's a bad beat or bad play), moving up with $425 is fine.
You have 17 buyins and another 6 coming soon.
I'd recommend playing 1 NL 25 table now, and over the course of ~2 weeks end up playing only NL 25 (baring any downswing).
(Not because of bankroll, but because it may play very differently, give yourself time to get used to it)

Just be willing to move down if you hit a downswing.

Also, don't 1-table if you're not used to it. Play your usual number of tables, otherwise you might get bored and start doing dumb stuff /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

i think it has to do with the feel of your play, if you feel confident and can read the opps hands at 10nl and beating it consitently, then maybe think about the move...this would be the only way to justify moving up early.

Have a very strict bottom ceiling though, this is critical.
