you are beaten here almost always. He chech calls the flop w/ 99 or 22, then he min raises the turn with his set and pushes the river despite the flush. HATE the PF open call, RAISE IT UP!...what are you doing limping w/ AhQh??

I do not know if it would have made a difference but why are you limping from UTG in a 6max game? this is almost a cardinal sin

especially w/ a hand as good as AQs...

You have the betting iniative, you have a better idea where you stand, and you have a good hand so put money in the pot with raise. Make other hands pay to stay in.

Raise pf always, every time. No ifs ands or buts. AQs is a powerhouse, but better HU than multiway out of position.

As played, chk turn for pot control. That's a dry board, family pot, villain could have anything. He's not on a draw and you've got a good, showdownable top pair hand. You're either crushed with very few outs, or your villain is. You're not getting more than two streets of value out of anyone but a calling station, and you'll get sucked in big and bad any other way. You can snap call almost any river if you chk behind (even a pot sized bet from villain on river will be the same bucks as you paid here on the turn and you'll get to showdown.) If villain chks river after you've chked behind, you put a vb out and they'll call with a bunch of stuff they might have folded to your turn bet. Yes, sometimes you get 3 or 5 outed -- but still better and a cheaper "mistake" than the alternative.

If there was a draw on this board, by all means, bet/fold the turn.
