It's raise(since we will be committed if we just call) or fold, though I'm not sure. Villains line looks awfully strong coming from a passive player. The smooth call on the flop, and then comiing to life on the turn sets off warning bells. This really is one of the few times you can find a fold of a set, but often times with a set, and 1 buyin I'm likely to stick it in, and gamble. Not saying that's right though, and I kind of lean towards a fold against this guy even though the read provided is limited.

I think this is a pretty tough spot. The only hands you beat are AcKx and AcAx and it's arguable whether even they would raise in this spot (more likely on the flop). One of the straight draws just came in as well, but a flush is a much larger part of his range.

A fold could be good in this spot, but it's not something that I see myself doing, I would call and then tell myself "You knew he had that, fold you moron" when he shows me the flush and scoops the pot.

I shove, don't fold sets

I shoved, he insta-called with A/images/graemlins/club.gif2/images/graemlins/club.gif for the nuts, and I didn't improve.

I'm unexperienced in NL hold 'em (former 5/10 limit player) but I still doubt if I played this hand correctly.

His line shows extremely much strength, I really don't see a hand in his range that I beat and I'm not getting the odds to draw to 10 outs...

Meh. This is nasty. I wonder if this isn't actually a cooler and there wasn't really much you could do. I think I go broke here 99% of the time.

I'm wondering though if the fact he didn't push turn make it less likely this is AcKx or AcXx? If he's mining for FE here, and if he's the kind of villain who would push a draw looking for a fold, wouldn't he just push? Dunno, that might have been a tell.

Whatever. I vote cooler.

FWIW, I like hero's preflop, flop and turn play and think it's standard.

Donīt change a thing. So many hands pay you off if you play this hand aggressively. And if you throw in just a couple of AcAx or AcKx, which is more than reasonable, you have odds to push the turn.
