There has been a great deal of talk about a poker ban due to the new legislation proposed that would ban online poker, and make it harder for players to put money in online accounts. This new bill would basically target the methods (neteller, firepay) used to fund and withdraw from your account, and try to stop payments by credit cards to offshore companies. Banks would be wary of these sites, and no longer allow them to deposit and withdraw from the bank's accounts because of the new laws. This law would also increase the penalty for playing online, and specifically ban online poker under the wire act.

The question is, what can we do to stop this, and preserve the game we love?

1. A new lobby group in Washington has emerged. By donating or signing up for this group, you are helping them to fight for our cause, and preserve poker. You can sign up at www.pokerplayersalliance.org. (http://www.pokerplayersalliance.org.) Or you can sign up through the cashout page on partypoker.com. There, you will find a link to their site for membership. If you sign up using the link, partypoker will put $25 in your account on their site. Please sign up, and save poker.

2.. Write your congressman, and make your voice heard. Tell him that you hate this legislation, and want it to stop. Get out there and tell others of this horrible new law, and gather support.

Online poker needs your support, help fight to save it.
