I knew exactly nothing about this player at the time. I definetly check to many hands behind on the Turn but wouldt that have been a good spot to check behind for pot control? What do u think about the fold?

I'd bet a little more on flop. I'd bet a little more on turn. Definitely fold to his turn check raise.

I play it the same, but unfortunately my hand reading skills in this spot are no good. What exactly do we think villain has here? A set? J8 or a weaker 2 pair? How often is he doing this as a semi-bluff on a draw? How about TPGK?

Tough without reads (and a probable fold), but I'm not as apt to follow the Baluga thm with those potential draws out there.

We're only behind to two hands 22, and 88 as JJ gets reraised for the most part. This board is probably one of the times I might felt KK, I can see villain check raising with 9c10c, Jcxc etc.

we aren't behind / you aren't counting J8?

also, i wouldn't fall into the fallacy of thinking everyone 3bets JJ PF here. Lots of idiots don't.

Would a spade flush draw play like this or even AJ of clubs?

Hero seems to be making average size bets and a c/r could easily cause better hands to fold like if hero had AK AQ KQ and even KK as in this situation. And he always has outs if he misses.

Or is that just wishful thinking?

AJ/images/graemlins/club.gif may well do it this way, if they do then congrats to them. I don't think we can make a call hoping it's that play.

You gotta be happy sometimes folding vs an aggro play like this knowing you may have been levelled.

Standard.

He probably has a set, maybe a hand like T9cc or T9ss. I don't think his range is much wider than that.

Yeah IŽd bet a little more on the flop and turn, not betting the turn is awful.

As to what he has, hmm. One likely scenario is that his hand improved somewhat on the turn, he picked up a draw with his pair or a pair with his draw or fd + sd or he has 86 or 66. If he checked a flopped set twice, IŽd be somewhat surprised on that scary board. IŽd say push turn.
