I really don't know where to start. Should I have raised pre-flop? I didn't think with 44 on BB is that good a place to put in a raise, I was actually going to fold but with so many people in the pot I thought the implied odds would be huge.

Did I show too much weakness by checking?

Are my bets too small?

i would bet/fold river to about 2,5$. i think it is better than check/call, and i don't fold here.

he is still calling with many weaker hands that he will check behind like 2pair or so, and given he's so passive you don't worry about his bluff-raise.

And aobut you preflop play - I raise it, but I think it is really small difference here beetween calling and raising. If game is loose and passive and they are going to call you big in small pots, then call is just fine.

Flat call p/f is fine, I wouldn't want to 3 bet this OOP, much of the value is from flopping a set in a multiway pot. As played flop and turn are fine, river - as guy above said bet fold is more optimal
