I didn't know what to do on the turn OOP, but I'd committed myself on the flop and figured an overpair was unlikely given a limped pot

what happened with the action, converter messed up? i'm guessing you b/3b the flop. anyways, fold preflop, that hand sucks from EP, and if you really want to play it, raise it, given that only btn limped, with a UTG limp fold this. Moving on, flop is fine, turn, you are heads up, and though it is entirely possible, you are HU now, and it's unlikely villain stayed in the 3b pot w/ a 4. The over bet on the turn is OK, but it's more preferable to put ~3.5 or so in on this turn, so that you can have your stack in on the river.

I think I raise to 3 on the flop. Then the pot is 6.4 on the turn and you have the same amount left so you don't overbet the pot when you push. Your reasoning concerning the big pairs TT,KK,AA is sound. You are only afraid of 44. But the minraise followed by the call is usually a flushdraw or a straightdraw, ime. Good play.
