Only three hands on villian so no stats and no reads. How does this look to you and are you doing anything different?

I fold the flop every time. Everything is fine up to that point. Your hand is not good enough to go two more streets and no way are you getting to showdown for free. Turn call is bad and so is river call, you are very rarely ahead on such a dry board and AJ is not as good a hand as you think.

So you think that this is almost always AQ, AK, Aces up, or a set that called pre in the blinds and very rarely Ace rag?

So much so that you can just fold to a min-raise?

I sometimes call flop and sometimes fold flop. If you do call its an easy fold as villian is rarely betting something you beat.

I hate min raises!!! I have to admit they confuse me. Is he building the pot or just testing my continuation bet? I dunno.

Turn & river are easy fold...he is saying please call me with your Ace!

The minraise is irrelevant, what it indicates is important. My read is that the minraise indicates that we will not get to showdown cheaply and in fact we are likely to face multiple bets before the hand is over. I also feel that versus his range we are behind, and the implication is that we are going to have to pay a lot of money to get to SD which I am never doing with AJ in this spot.

If your read is that you are ahead you should push the flop.

Ama's got the point to count there - you either have to fold to the c/r or reraise, and big.

I usually fold to that c/r.

Great analysis Ama.

Villain's turn bet also looks like it's sized to get his whole stack in by the end and take hero along for the ride.
