Brand new to table, I think I've played one round. I have no reads on this.

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (5 Players)
2 folds, BTN calls $0.50, SB calls $0.25, Hero checks

Flop: ($1.50) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif 7/images/graemlins/club.gif 8/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 Players)
SB bets $1.50, Hero raises to $4.50, BTN calls $4.50, SB folds

Turn: ($12) 9/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 Players)
Hero ...

I'll post the turn action and then river stuff if there's any interest. I'm questioning my river play as well.

Button open limps, which means that he's a moron and that he either has suited connectors or a crappy ace imo. This is a tough spot here, since he very well could have limped something like 78, 56, or KcQ. If he made his flush, you obviously don't want to bet and just hope you fill up on the river, but if he has something like KcQ you have to bet to charge him for his draw.

I'd probably lead for 8 here, KcQ is pretty likely imo.

My first inclination when a lot of draws have come in -- and that it makes a lot of sense for my villain to have a draw, is to check. Add in the fact that there are a lot more hands that are now drawing -- makes we want to bet. I have got a pretty strong hand -- I want value. I have a pretty strong hand with a middling redraw -- hm, I don't want to be raised out and want a showdown. Aaargh.

Turn action. My plan is to donk quite a few rivers, including non-club ones. Is pot control the right move here?

I like c/c as you have the q of clubs. I wouldn't call a large river bet unless you improve and board doesn't straighten out anymore. I don't like the flop raise as it inflates the pot with a very marginal hand.
