My friend sent me this hand. I already told him that I think he should always 3bet this vs an unknown at 25NL. Seeing as he just called, thoughts on flop/turn would be appreciated.

Overbet shove is a bit of an exaggeration, seeing as villain only has PSB left

Raise flop to 8-8.5, raising here if you don't raise preflop is a must.

I'm kind of puzzled by this hand though; if he had a big overpair he would have probably shoved over the flop raise, same with top pair+flush draw or even NFD with ATs+.

The flop looks fine to me, but I can't see how you're ahead on the turn. It looks to me like exactly 77, since you usually see largish pre-flop raises with the smaller pocket pairs.

If so, your advice to re-raise pre-flop is on target.
