You have to raise this preflop. Analyising the hand after you have not raised preflop becomes very difficult because that mistake is so big that it kind of warps the rest of the hand.

Just IMO.

I like to lead flop. But, if you're going to check raise...make it bigger. You're out of position and would like to end it right here.

the c/r flop then check on turn is the ultimate sign of weakness hence the strong bet by your opponent....leading out on the flop puts you in a better position to re-eval the turn and fire the second barrel if necessary, however with this line especially with that turn you beat nothing except air

I would raise PF, I am pretty sure the hand would have turned out different.....

Terrible played.

As already metioned you must raise this up pre, it's more profitable and all decesions will be easier. As pleayed the checkraise is urgh IMO, don't build it here OOP, if you get a call you have no idea where you stand and you could very easily get ouplayed on turn and river (due to being OOP). HEck, you could even go broke with this marginal holding due to your CR.

point taken, what's your completing/raising standards from the sb with 2 limpers?

Regarding pre-flop:
You want to raise hands from the blinds that are strong against few players. These are mainly the top pair type hands. You want to check or limp hands that are very strong even against multiple opponents if they hit but worthless if you don't. These are mainly hands like suited connectors or small suited Aces.

Regarding the flop:
As a rule of thumb you can go with check-raising never, unless you have a specific reason to do so.

You had absolutely no reason to checkraise here. You're out of position with a good but not great hand, so you want to keep the pot small if possible and generally try to make it to showdown. Check/raising does not accomplish this.

I'm raising this PF 5xBB (you need to get some idea of where you stand). Then betting about 80% of pot on flop. C/R flop, check turn is a big mistake here as a couple of people have mentioned.

Let's say hero doesn't c/r and only calls flop. He checks the turn and villain bets 2.5 into a 3$ pot. What do we do now?

Also, as played, shouldn't we better lead the turn?
