No stats on Villan but had the following in player notes "Min raised a 5xBB bet on flop with open ended straight"

I reckon this was either a push or a fold, what do you guys reckon?

I hate these minraises. It's 1 of 2 things...he's either trying to test your continuation bet cheaply, or he's trying to built a pot with a set or something. Reraise the size of the pot. If you get called or raised, you'll get more info.

I can't really re-raise to the pot since I'm massively short stacked, I have $1.9 left on the flop, the pot is at $1.67

Hero repops him, if it was a dry board, then there might be concetn to be worried, but on a wet board like this, you see people pulling all kinds of wierd stunts with draw.

Just make him pay.

Its a drawy board with no made hands and the viallin is in position. His range is really wild, but most of the time its a small queen, if he thinks you cbet too much, or a draw. I like to push this situations, since if he has a queen his is much more inclined to call a push than a raise becuase he thinks you are bluffing and if he is ona draw... many people call draws regardless of the odds. Sometimes you run into ocasional set. It also protects from further minreraises in the future. Of course it only applies if you were full stacked, with $2 behind I dont see your question.

Pushing is perhaps going overboard, but a nice potsized reraise is never a bad thing /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess I didn't play the hand too badly. I actually pushed, the turn and river were rubbish cards and the guy showed an AA.

I really could not even begin to put him on this hand (or a pocket pair above TT) since I would have expected a re-raise on the flop.
