hand #1.. given his range u could easily have the best hand here. Against a tighter villain I'm folding - J10 sucks here.. but I think against this villain its +ev to call.

Against this opponent I 3bet shove turn on hand 2 and flop on hand 1.

That being said, "Should I have laid it down" is completely the wrong question to be asking, as it implies that you're being results oriented. The correct question is "should I be laying this down in this situation," since the answer to your specific question is directly tied to the results.

Is raising 98s UTG considered as bad?

i like mixing raise and fold 9-8s UTG. depending on your image and the table image.

This is fine to do to mix this up every now and again....its even better when you showdown with it

Hand 1 I just shove the turn, no point getting cute, I don't see you folding this here against a 67/27 with a total postflop agg. factor of 6 in the last 30ish hands.

Hand 2, you need to decide on the flop to push or fold, a lot of cards hurt you on the turn, so just put it in when you think you have the best of it before a 3rd club comes or an overcard
