No hand history (euro site)
Villain has been inactive so is a bit tight

Hero $22 Villain covers

Preflop 1 limper im in SB i raise $1.25 BB calls rest fold

Flop 8s 7h 9s i bet 3 into 4 he calls

Turn 4c i bet 8 into 9 he calls

river 8c i bet 5 all in he calls

Is betting every street fine? whats the best play? tx

I think check the river. If he has a busted draw, he's not gonna call a bet, but he might try to bet you out. Also, if he had an 8 you can minimize your loss by not betting and getting raised.

Hm. 1.25+3+9=13.25. Why do you only have $5 left?

When you check/call, you might catch a few busted draws bluffing. You obviously have little fold equity and villain will probably not call a third street of value without a hand that beats you. So his betting range is wider than his calling range. Although I believe you have little chance of winning here.

I would raise slightly more than the standard 4 x BB + 1 for a limper pf to take down the pot often pf as TT is not a hand you want to play oop.

Personally I lead the flop as you likely have the best hand or at least have outs to improve to a straight. If you were behind on the turn I would have expected villain to reraise as you have shown real strength and your bets are stating that you are prepared to go allin. I like the idea of checking the river to induce bluffs from busted draws.
