Any idea what he's min-raising with ?

I'd 3-bet flop all-in. TPTK, drawy board, you're OOP and it's for less than 100bb.

you pretty much have to call with the amount of money in the pot i think. you could see two diamonds a lot of times. you checked turn and river both so he might think that he will be able to bluff you off the hand. he could also have 77 or 88, i dont really think that 78 would call a raise preflop. he did limp call preflop so that also supports the pocket pair theory.

TPTK OOP vs resistance is always an ugly spot. From my limited experience I'd say you're beat, but it's so hard to let this one go for a flop-minraise, 1/2 pot on turn and 1/5 pot on river. Folding is only possible on the turn, but it may be too weak. I don't like calling this down. I'd either flop 3-bet AI or fold turn.

I'd love to see more replies here, since I'm very lost in these spots too, as are many more of us I suspect.

His stack makes any play on the flop pretty awkward, but I feel like the best play is to shove the flop. If you guys had a bit more, I'd definately reraise the flop to $15ish.

What is your logic behind shoving the flop?

Do you want to get called (and if so what hand will call you that does not beat you) and what hand will fold that you do not have beat?

I dont see villan folding 2 pair (and deff not set), but I do see him folding a weaker queen alot of the time (if he has any sense). Will some one explain what makes shoving the flop +EV?

Min raise = either pocket pair that made trips or flush draw. Reraising the flop bloats the pot oop and you must lead the turn thus commiting yourself to one pair. So call flop. Since we dont want to give a free card to a flush draw lead the turn and fold to a reraise.

So I should have bet the turn?
~$8?

A 3-bet all-in gets called by sets and 2 pair obv, but combo-draws are also going to call. 8xdd and JdTd are slightly behind, and definitely calling. Nut flush draw might call too.
If he's bad enough to min-raise TP with a weaker kicker, he might call a shove too...

Shoving also protects your hand from bluffs.

I like shoving the flop, especially against an 80BB stack. A lot of people will minraise draws of any number of outs just to get free cards. This guy is probably going to stack off with a lot of draws that he doesn't have odds to, which offsets the times when he has sets or 2pair or whatever. As played it's just a guessing game and a long way to get to showdown.

I will shove the flop too.
Many times he will call u with QJ, QT or a draw.

i see a flop shove getting called by a smaller Q if he has it. IME AQ on Q-high flop is a very well disguised hand. no one ever believes you have a better Q than they do, and when you raise pre they think A or K or pair, forgetting you can have Q as a kicker (same for AJ on J-high flop). also, KQ/QJ/QT/Q9s makes a limp call pre a lot. you even get value from JJ/TT/99--again not believing you have Q, although i don't know if JJ is limp calling pre(?).

edit: obv you could be behind, as discussed above, too. but that's been covered already /images/graemlins/wink.gif

KQ/JJ/99/TT never limp here before the table folds.
