Always raise preflop here at these stakes

You have to raise this pre-flop. You have a premium hand but why play it against everyone at the table? Pop this up.

Bet the pot on the flop. As played I check the turn and possibly check/raise depending on how action goes. Problem is with everyone in you have no idea where you are.

River - building the pot throughout the hand makes it so you dont have to open shove almost $5 into a .75 pot. Anyone with half a poker mind is going to fold the straight here. Bet a little over half pot and hope the straight raises.

This is .01/.02 man. Nobody folds straights ever. Not even on 4flush boards lol. And no I'm not kidding.

Right, everyone who plays does not have half a poker mind. They're all mega donks. However, you should try to play a level ahead of them, practice for when you move up and this stuff wont work. Make standard plays even if this river-donk betting works now.

Hey man, I'm sorry if I came across harsh there. I was just being blunt. I've played lots and lots of .01/.02 in the past. I know what you're saying about making plays that make more sense but if you were at a the casino playing $5/$10 with huge fish that literally couldnt get away from a pair and the board being as co-ordinated as it is in this hand you could justify OP's river play, though I totally agree he should be building the pot on everystreet.

I wasn't trying to be harsh either, just make a point. Sorry if it came off wrong. I think the biggest difference is that if i was playing 5/10 and used his same line (knowing i would get paid off) I'd be pulling in a pot worth 3k+. At .01/.02 NL OP should be trying to build his poker skill first and his bankroll second. A river push wouldn't be much more than a PSB if he had built the pot from the start.

I understand where you're coming from man. I look at it the opposite way though. Playing .01/.02 really is'nt going to give you an opportunity to play good poker. $10NL is a good place to learn and start applying some practical poker skills. I say plow through .01/.02 by looking for big hands and bet them super aggressively. If you do it right you can be rolled for $10NL in like 5k hands and hopefully you won't have picked up any bad habits by then.

id raise pf to like .14...but as played flop looks good, turn bet more like .25, then the river im bettin like 2/3-pot...you just got real lucky here that two guys hit a straight if not your not gettin called by much with your push into such a small pot.
