I'm playing a standard TAG game. No other reads on villain than he's not a grinder as far as I know. Standard call down? Anyone who is betting river? Bonus question, if villain had bet 3/4 pot on river, what had you done in that case?

Raise the turn to get it in. Bonus question: call or push.

Wow, ain't that horrible? He will for sure have an 8 some portion of the time and then you are down to two outs. A raise will probably scare away weaker hands and if he's bluffing we don't want to stop him.

shove the turn.

shove the turn.

Please, explain why. I can't understand why that should be good (due to statements in post above)? Besides if you are going to push the turn, why don't you raise again on the flop?

a flop 3-bet looks way too strong and i think we let alot of hands get off a bit too easily. against smart thinking aggro players, 3-betting the flop might be okay because you rarely do it with anything smart (ala yeti theorm) and might induce a shove or something.

but yeah, against an unknown, i like shoving the turn. the stacks are a bit awkward but i still shove- i dont want to let any scary river cards come to kill my action (ie. paint) vs. his 99 or whatever. he'll still call with mid pairs (the main hand that we are extracting from).

also, letting him hang himself is also a fine plan, i would be more inclined to do so if he had bet larger on the turn.

Flop/turn are fine, but bet the river.

Okay, thanks orange. You are probably right. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

and i do agree w. river bet. shove seems like the only answer given stacks.

Meh, I'd bet like $60 here tbh, gets more value from like A high / 99 IMO than a shove.
