Villain in this hand was tight/passive (18/3 over 115 hands). No reason to raise the turn/bet the river here, right? Should I fold this on the turn? Could very well be a low suited ace, right?

You played it right, imo. The turn bet by villain is confusing, and with that I'm not sure where you're at. A call down is probably the safest play.

He has a better ace here more often than he has a worse one.
(Also, a few worse Aces beat you on that board)
That said, turn call is good, river check behind is good.
I expect to see a big PP sometimes, but want to see a cheap showdown.

I wanted a cheap showdown too. The call on the flop scared me too, but I didn't think I could let it go on the turn.
