Villain is mostly unknown. He has not done anything stupid. Does not seem to be very tight or overly aggressive.

My flop check is probably aweful, but assuming I got to the turn this way, do I call the allin bet?

3bet preflop, and lead flop. As played you have to fold. You're getting zeeboed here.

I think you have to call here. I don't see how he calls that PF bet with 2/3. If he did have the nut straight why is he shoving? If this guy has it he stacks me, but I'm getting my money in here.

The worry isn't 23, it's something like A4s, A5s, 44, 55

why would he be leading ai w/a full house?

before the flop i put the BB on a pocket pair.

since he shoves on the turn, then he probably had pocket 5s to make him a full house.

very true.. but like tarheeljks said. Why shove with the FH?

noobs. they always love to shove the nuts into your face.. they always get called by overthinkers so positive reinforcements makes them do it.

the only reason why i would fold is because my read on the turn is consistent with his actions pre-flop. if he raised preflop, i would call him in an instant.

think of it this way too. what hands are going to pay you off?

* A2 - AJ (anything over your AQ would have re-raised) excluding A4 and A5
* a bluff
* missed straight or flush draws

it's a small pot, i'm not going broke over this hand. and i usually don't put much faith in sets that exist as a pair on the board.

That's zeebo's theorem, slightly adjusted to trips.
Villain believes no one will folds trips, he pushes all-in with a made boat expecting a call from AK/AQ.

The fact that you're thinking he can't have a full house is what makes that play profitable. (Not optimal, but certainly +EV)
