This is hardly surprising. This guy is running for president as a Libertarian. The R by his name is mostly symbolic of his pro-life stances, and to make him electable. He is really Libertarian on all issues such as this.

QFT and to say that this is also not the first time Congressman Paul has ran for President. How many of you knew his name back then (or even that he did?)

While it's great to have his support (and it should be noted that in no way am I downplaying how important it is to have his support,) thinking that because he's a presidential candidate this bill has any more clout is just not so. The vast majority of the public does not know he is even a candidate.

According to the PPA website Paul is co-sponsoring H.R. 2046

In an email he sent a couple of us a few months ago, he promised that he'd do that. I'm glad he found the final bill acceptable to keep that pledge.
