Anyway, why not 3-bet PF? That's pretty tight on the button. I know I misplayed it, but I shouldn't mind playing a big pot with this hand on the button. As tight as he is, I can let go if he 4-bets PF. I think he's 4-betting mostly AA/KK.

I'd 3 bet pre flop with AK and position like you did. I think your biggesdt mistake on this hand was your call of his check raise on the flop. A villain with these stats almost always has TPTK beat here when he check raises.
