Yahoo Article only give's reasons why it's bad ? (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070426/ap_on_go_co/internet_gambling)

Why is the WTO rulings never mentioned in these articles.

The people who read them keep getting negative negative negative stuff.

Do you want the good news or the bad news? People usually choose the bad news first.

Did anyone notice the misleading piece of the article that said the horse racing industry lobbied for passage of the internet gambling ban, but somehow left out the piece that horse racing got an exception for themselves?

Nothing like half truth's to sway public opinion

That article was garbage. But at least it's in the news. Must have been written by that Alabama Republican's pr flack, to get his name out their as standing up for By God Number One American Morality. Oh, and children. And puppies.

It says "the ban passed with overwhelming support" or some thing like that. And gives the lopsided vote total.

Do riders on other bills get an individual vote? I thought it was just a lame attachment and they actually voted on a different topic on defense appropriations?

Most news these days is written by pr flacks. That article looks no different.

I don't think Bachus knows that this bill has safeguards to help prevent underage gambling:
"The overwhelming vote in favor of this legislation reflected widespread public concern over the ill effects of illegal Internet gambling on our youth," he said
