Without a read, I'm not feeling this. Just because the guy is half stacked doesn't necessarily mean that he's clueless. I'm pretty sure that anything that shoves over your 4-bet is at worst a coinflip against jacks. If he had less than 30BB in his stack this might be different.

Once you 4 bet to 2 bucks, you're pretty much commited to playing for his stack.

If he just calls, he has less than 3/4ths pot left making it an auto push on the flop...and if he pushes pre, you are pot commited. Before you make that bet decide, based on how he's been playing, if thats your move.

If he's aggro preflop, I'm chill with it. Could easily be an underpair or Ace/junk.

I call his small 3-bet preflop. He could have you crushed. Any reads?

We're raising into a random hand. His minraise could be a wide range. Against a random hand, we're looking good. His minraise says that he has a hand at least better than random. We're still good 2/3rds of the time.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 62.181% 61.70% 00.49% 193323628 1520317.00 { JcJs }
Hand 1: 37.819% 37.33% 00.49% 116987370 1520317.00 { 99+, A5s+, KQs, A5o+, KQo }

My range may be off, but its my best guess against an unknown.

Let's tighten up his range:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 55.632% 54.91% 00.72% 96847918 1267867.00 { JcJs }
Hand 1: 44.368% 43.65% 00.72% 76983660 1267867.00 { 99+, ATs+, KQs, ATo+, KQo }

His range may be tighter, I dunno.

Let's say we just call the minraise. I'm looking for a reason not to play for his stack on this flop, and I can't find one. So I don't think you're making a mistake here.

Nice hand.
