Nice hand.

not really.

And I seriously wonder whether we make good enough sklansky bux in times we are ahead (set, draw, overpair etc.) for the time where our pot equity is like 1%

So I thought we could work out a range

When you called OOP with 56/images/graemlins/spade.gif what kind of flop would you have liked to see? (save for the obvious 555/666/234/images/graemlins/spade.gif

In Doyles book, he says that being beat flush over flush is a hazard in the game. He says that you just have to go with it.

and at 118-1 of flopping one its so F**king rare for one much less two, especially when there are only 3 to the suit on the board its not even worth worrying about ..... back to the AA vs KK/set over set move on... Yes it stings, but move on

Nice Stove Lordy. I think I'd probably widen the range to include some more Ks, but I don't think that changes a lot.

OP, I got stacked almost exactly like this last week and hated myself for it. A coach told me stacking off was bad. But frankly I am not convinced I could ever play it differently.

I disagree with the range used for pokerstove, but the numbers still seem very surprising. We're all open raising K6s+,connectors and one gappers from the button, the numbers go something like this (I went through and specified a /images/graemlins/spade.gif for each of the off suit hands for the high card K/images/graemlins/spade.gif or A/images/graemlins/spade.gif):

Board: Qs 8s 2s
Dead:

equity
Hand 0: 35.354% { AcAs, AdAs, AhAs, KcKs, KdKs, KhKs, QQ, 88, 22, AsKs, AsQs, AsJs, AsTs, As9s, As8s, As7s, As6s, As5s, As4s, As3s, As2s, KJs-K9s, K7s-K6s, JsTs, Js9s, Ts9s, 9s7s, 4s3s, AKo, AsQc, AsQd, AsQh, AsJc, AsJd, AsJh, AsTc, AsTd, AsTh, As9c, As9d, As9h, As8c, As8d, As8h, As2c, As2d, As2h, KsQc, KsQd, KsQh, Ks8c, Ks8d, Ks8h }
Hand 1: 64.646% { 6s5s }
