I'm lost... it doesn't smell right, that's for sure. My hunch, bluff. What say you?

Looks like you're looking at a flush most of the time. Either way, Baluga theorem makes this a definite fold.

if he is bluffing let him take it, even if you "think" he is bluffing what's your play here? you have TPTK on a draw happy board in an unraised pot and you OOP with no redraw to a flush and an A or 9 might be no good

I agree... with all. My question now is - should have I raised out of the SB in a situation where there's a few new players at the table.

I dont think the "few new" players is the issue UNLESS they posted? A9s for me is a raise UTG or raise in LP, but honestly if its been "limped" to me I will just call out of the Sb

It's a limped pot, so its hard to define villains hand. But, he's probably made a middle flush, and raising you to protect it from another club hitting river.

I think you should fold, but I will say that my general recent impression is that Stars NL 25 is getting more aggressive. I've run into quite a few players lately who are perfectly willing to posture during a hand.
