Hero is on the button with 2 red Queens. Preflop raiser has been rather quiet for the past 3 orbits, picking up a pot here and there.
UB .10-.25 NL
All fold to MP who raises min. amount. CO calls, Hero with Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ /images/graemlins/heart.gif, raises to $2.50.
MP reraises to $5.55. CO folds, Hero....

I debated over a shove or smooth call. I decided to smooth call and see what happened on the flop.
Does the Minimum raise/3bet here automatically mean KK/AA, or can it be a larger range of hands?

sorry for the edit

I do not understand how MP can raise to $2 and then you reraise to $2.50. Considering this is UB, I recommend mashing the bet pot button to make it $5.50 to go preflop. His betting pattern definitely does not automatically mean KK/AA, but his raise is difficult to read given that your preflop reraise was so small. If you bet pot to make it $5.50 and he reraises to $14, then you can worry about KK/AA.

As played, I smooth call the $5.55 and play the hand carefully which shouldn't be much of a problem since you have position.
