Hi all. I finally decided to take the plunge after about 50k hands of limit and get some of this "easy money" at the NL games. I found that I can suck just as bad at NL as limit. I really don't know what the hell I'm doing here so any help on anything would be appreciated: (no reads here BTW)
Full Tilt $50NL Full Ring

This belongs in the full ring forum but I think calling a 3-bet with AJ in full ring is marginal at best

Fold PF to the 3-bet.

Sorry about the wrong forum. Should've read the stickies better.

8-handed with AJo UTG, I'm folding. If I raise, it's to 4BB. Fold to the 3-bet pre-flop (you're in big trouble against an MP2 re-raiser's range).

As played, lead the flop for ~pot (90% of pot is ok) and shut down if called or fold if raised. Check-raising this flop is bad because you're building a pot OOP with a marginal hand.

Check-fold turn.

Check-fold river.

Good luck at NL. I think it's a lot more fun than Limit /images/graemlins/smile.gif

TPGK doesn't have nearly as much value in NL as I've heard it does in limit. As such your flop check/minraise blows goats. It folds out all the hands that we beat and bloats the pot against hands that we're behind. There's really no reason to do it.

Also fold PF. Reverse implied odds are serious business in NL and AJo is a textbook RIO hand, especially out of position.
