Lets say that villian has 25BB. If he raises PF and you don't have to worry about players behind you, what range would you shove AI with? I've seen a top high stakes player shoving w/TT+AJo. Is this a standard play or is it read based? My read would be that anyone short stacking is a poor player. What do you all think?

why don't you have to worry about players behind you?

I generally think the same about the guys with really short stacks(around or less then 30bb) but i'm still only calling with AK, AA, KK, QQ, JJ maybe AQ to be on the safe side.

this question is so dependent on individual players and ranges

pls rephrase giving a specific example, give us stats or some kind of read on the villain

I typically don't give credit to shortstacks unless they're nits because usually anyone buying in short is not good so they're probably playing for stacks with hands like 44, ATo, maybe even worse.

So often at 10NL and 25NL ill see a shorty limp with 20 BB stack, and then coldcall 1/4 their stack OOP with some crummy hand like J3o. Why should I ever give such a player credit for a hand?

If a shortstack has around 25bb or less, and I have a decent hand AND I'm certainly its likely to be headsup, I'll often push.

the JJ-AA, AQ is a good range- If the player is limping really loose I might do AJ and lower pairs 88-1010.
