This one's pretty easy.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($8.75)
SB ($24.80)
Hero ($31.90)
UTG ($10.75)
MP ($0.95)
CO ($5.10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG raises to $0.75, MP raises to $0.95, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.70, UTG calls $0.20.

Flop: ($2.95) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
Hero bets $2.25, UTG raises to $9.5

Villain is a 28/16 player who isn't completely terrible (aside from playing short and betting small pf). He makes authentic cbets and hasn't done anything totally out of line.

What is his range here?

wtf, I love donkbets but hate this one.

Range: {Ahxh,AQ+,JJ+,QJ,J8,Q8,88,KT,9T,Kh8h+,Th8h}

Putting him on a range isn't easy on this board, but your choice is clear anyway: you fold. You are behind or flipping and your hand is not going to improve.

88/JJ+, AQ, AKh (?), KTh, maybe T9s?

Antinome, good call on QJ and Ahxh, but with his stats, do you really think he's ever raising J8, Q8, K8, T8 UTG?

If the read is correct, nothing you're ahead of. Easy fold.

Yeah, this was certainly an instafold, but I wanted to see what you guys thought the likely ranges were.

Villain's hand in white below:

Yeah, easy fold, I figured you at least had top pair and were at the turn or something, but you have second pair, get to see a showdown for free and if you're ahead it's not by much. Just fold.

my stats aren't far from that (I raise a few more hands) and T8s and J8s are definitely in my UTG range as occasionals. Mix in that he's probably less positionally aware and less in tune with implied odds and hands like Q8 and K8 might look better to him than T8 and J8. Yeah, I think they ought to be there. Definitely not as likely as some other hands, but possible.
