Any reads on opponent? At these stakes without reads I call 100% of the time.

You have to bet this river because 2pair is almost always good here. I call this river bet because it screams please fold. I would have bet around $1.50 to $2.00 on the river.

looks to me like he doesn't know what he is doing and I would put him on a big pair probably but not able to beat your two pair, but he might have hit a set of threes or fives

Bet the river, this guy is likely to pay you off with a pair and your just missing out on value by not betting... if you were going for a cheeky river check raise then i wouldnt bother, the guys at NL10 will just check behind more often than not.

Also, i think your betting a bit too much on the flop and turn.. no need to pot these streets as there are no big draws and you would like to get called TBH.

I think the pot bet on the flop is perfectly fine. Any hand that would have called a .20 bet will call .30 here imo. This is 10NL and people like to call flop bets in un raised pots. The turn is perhaps a little much without a read but the fact that the board is not drawy suggests that villain has a made hand like A10. If that were the case, he would likely think his hand is good enough to call a pot sized turn bet. Again, most hands that would call .60 on the turn will call for the pot.

FWIW, I dont think that most players at 10NL are paying much attention to betting patterns. You can get away with betting smaller with marginal hands like top pair, and betting bigger with stronger hands such as 2pair.

Good point... im probably giving the NL10 guys too much credit. Still, useful for the OP to know when he moves up /images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you check a strong hand on the river, you are looking for him to bluff. You have to call here because you may have induced a bluff. If you bet the river and are raised, then it's a totally different scenario.

If hero leads river for $1.50 - $2 and villain shoves, what's your plan?

I'd fold, fast. (after a bet and shove that is)

What do you beat besides AJ?

Betting the river for value is absolutely obligatory.

Youre only really worried about JT here, would be strange for villain to call 2 streets with a set. In a limped pot definately best to pot the flop, bet $.70 on the turn and $1.5 on the river - if villain shoves the river easiest fold ever. At 10nl he will call you down with AT KT QT 99 88 64s 53s often enough to make this the right play - and if you check here you probably have to call as you induced the river bluff.
