a reasonably solid play opens for $2 on button i call with pocket pair (2handed). if i flop a set do i check raise his cbet or slowplay?

edit: i know question sounds dumb but the good players keep folding tomy check raises so i dunno

If its 2 handed, then its really hugely read dependent. The flow of the game when playing HU is much more important to determine wether to bet out or c/r.

Depends on the board.

i usually check raise big with a draw heavy board holding a set

I do the same. I don't want people to catch up to me with a draw.

hmm read/board dependant, knowing what villain range is, sometimes a donklead/call, check/raise turn would be sexy

Then adjust. Just bet out more or Checkraise a little lighter. Checkraise with a good top pair hand and show it if they fold. Setting up people to call your 3 bets lighter.

But, in general, The checkraise is very strong. Most people do it with monsters. Unless your CR% is abnormally high, you're gonna get people folding a lot.

I do the same. I don't want people with a draw to have correct odds to draw out on me.

FYP - you want incorrect calls all day long. Even though it hurts when they hit, all day long.

if the board is something nice like 569 or something like that, i c/r all day. with or without a set.

OP - need board and stack sizes to really say.

Edit
nm - misread post.

This depends most on board texture, next on the opponent, then on stack sizes

If you're raising c-bets a lot, then raise his c-bet.
