Villain is 33/23/4...after I bet... he timed for a little bit and pushed. I put him on a draw or a 99-JJ. I thought it over and called. What ranges do you think villain has? If he has a set, I figure hed either slowplay (since he prolly figures i have an overpair). If villain wanted to protect his set (due to flush draw)...wouldn't he instapush? My read was that he thought a little bit before he pushed...He might be thinking "go big or go home on a draw" or... "this guy doesn't have squat and has AKs and wants to draw". Anyways what do you all think? If he has
A /images/graemlins/spade.gif5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif what are the race %? My friend believes any 5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif X would do me in...

I also put him on JJ-99 or a draw. If your opponent has A/images/graemlins/spade.gif 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, he will win the pot 59.3% of the time, you will win the pot 39.9% of the time and 1.8% of the time, the pot will be split (PokerStove).

I would rather worry about the possibility that your opponent called pre-flop with a suited connector and made a straight on the flop. Do you think this is to be ruled out?

However, an overpair which is smaller than yours is much more likely. Therefore, I think you played the hand fine.
