NL 50$ Overpair vs maniac shove

I've been at the table for maybe 10-15 hands.

Vilain is 76/24/3.00

When I first sat down, I took a big pot from him when he shoved for 43$ in a 10$ pot on the turn. The board was 2869 and I had JJ. I lead for 4$ in a 6$ pot and he shoved. He already seemed like a maniac after the 4-5 hands so I called and won when he showed ATo and the river was a blank.

So now this hand. Vilain is MP

I checked to induce a bluff, but I was a litte scared of the 6. I can't really put him on a hand.

Yes I call with the other info you gave. He could put you on AK like most donks do and bluff, or even think hes good here with 77 or something.

I think you have to bet the turn, as you can see checking puts you in a tough spot. I call this against a player with those stats, but I'm not thrilled about it.

I like the turn check. You've shown a ton of strength in 4betting and leading the flop, give him a sniff of weakness and he'll happily stack off. Call it for sure. 2 buyin coolers suck, but against this guy it looks good.

Also don't try to put maniacs on hands, just play your own cards and take overpairs to the grave.
