Pair the board one time! So villian is new to the table after a few dozen hands hes 53/9/1, I'm card dead and playing 20/12/2 but dont think he notices. The river obviously sucks but besides diamonds he could show up with something like QJ,JT,KJ. On the river he has 40$ left. If we check river what do we do if he bets 20$, and what if he bets 40$?

He is never betting a worse hand with that AF IMO. I think I probably shove but whatever you do on this pretty much sucks

I would put in a smallish bet playing him for TP and call any raise expecting to see 2-pair or a set more than a flush. He was drawing awfully thin to the flush if that's what he has...but given his numbers its possible.

I think c/c is the worst choice here

Very gross, I shove and get ready to bomb some drivers into my neighbor's house.

Try a ~$25 blocking bet/value bet. It's unlikely villain will shove over you unless he has made his straight or flush given his AF of 1. Also, if villain has made 2pair or even if he has just top pair, you will likely get paid off and get some good value out of your hand.

Hooray for results: In the hand i pushed and he insta folded, wierd. After the hand i was thinking if check call may have been best, but as was said he never bets a hand on the river that i beat, so might as well shove and get called by worse.
