Raise limpers w/ premium pair, bet flop, get raised. Standard lines..?

I feel like I have a lot of trouble lately. All that used to be no-braining to me seems to turn out wrong everytime I do it.

Scenario:

Unknown limps in MP, you raise w/ QQ OTB , flop comes (HU)

Limper checks, you bet out close to the pot and get raised (somewhere between 2.5 - 3.5 the times your raise).


What do you consider?



Second scenario:

You raise w/ QQ UTG , unknown calls , flop (HU) comes

and bet out yourself close to the pot and get raised. Again , 2.5 - 3.5 your raise.


Any decent 3bet puts half your stack in the middle.

Now what?

The check-raise is more likely a big hand.

Both are folds against unknowns I guess.

If you're having trouble it's because you're playing with unknown. Pay attention & get reads.
