If I added this up right you are getting 1.8:1 to call, which isn't enough. I don't think your Ace is an out, so you have at best 2:1 from your flush draw... but if the very likely event that someone has a set/two-pair already, you have hit your draw AND dodge boats, so your hand odds are worse than 2:1 really.

It will cost me 2.80 to make the call while there is 6.69 in the pot. Therefore the pot odds are essentially 2.4:1

What were you trying to accomplish with your flop bet?

You can probably call then, but it's really marginal. You have odds if nobody has a set. HU against top set, you are 3:1, but chances are they both have a piece of the flop, so they take each others boat outs. For example, against two sets, or two pair and one set, you are 2.6:1. However, it's pretty likely neither has a set and they are just donking around with PPs or something...

Either take the pot now, or raise the pot up and the amount others might call in the event that I hit a nut flush

I like the flop bet:

1) We get some money in before action dies on the scare card.
2) We might get a free card if we don't connect with the turn.
3) We disguise our flush and can maybe get action even with a third flush card on the board.
4) We get action in future hands if we bet flops often.
5) We might take it down here and now.
