The big stack is the maniac playing 75%/50. This guy was reraising with monsters like 57 and 6K. He would raise ATC and or call. If he had an inside straight draw on the flop he would often raise. He was hitting like crazy.

The shortstacked button had been donating to the button and was undoubtedly heading torwards megatilt.

Hero bets all-in for $27.50, CO folds
Uncalled bet of $27.50 returned to Hero

My question is just preflop. And more imporantly... with all the dead money, should I have just pushed?

i dont even think i like to call his 3-bet preflop.. if he was 3-betting often here then i'd push for sure tho.

He is 3 betting and 4 betting light.

Its not clear if he was 3 betting after flipping a coin or based on some formula where the odds of raising are directly related to how funny it would be if we won with said hand... (39 is a funny hand.... I should push)

sinces your read is that hes 3/4 bettin light and hes a donk id def push here pf if he calls, like you said we are most likely ahead and if he folds then we pick up a nice side pot but...after just callin, you put yourself is a really crappy spot if you dont hit on the flop OOP after investing alot of your stack...if flop came 85x how would you play it then???

pushing on the flop is fine... you are only betting half the pot...
