Villain had only played 25 hands or so, but seemed pretty dumb and aggressive. - 77/48/2 fwiw (not much, I know). There is really not much I beat on the river except two pair/bluff, but I couldnt let my set go against this... individual.

On the turn you are only a slight favourite against his range. But again, theres only 25 hands of him. I think you played it ok. He just minraises u on the turn so its a call. The river check-call was fine too I guess

What was the result?

I check/call turn versus lag tard. Let him bluff at it, and you get to draw to a boat.

Even versus lagtards I doubt your ahead often enough on that river.

Shocking turn card, I like the bet tho. I would never consider folding to the minraise, as even though you beat nothing now, you've got serious boat value versus his range as both the flush and the straight will likely pay you off on the river if you were to crai. FWIW I fold this river every time, he has deliberately bet big here because he wants you to think he is bluffing - I see this ALL the time, its amazingly pathetic. Easy river fold.

Villain flips over J3o, and starts berating me in the chat /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Pretty good bluff by villain, as I almost folded a set.

I don't like c/c turn at all. If villain has something like an overpair with a heart, you're giving him a free shot at it.

I think you played it good, esp with your reads.
