actually i call, pfr of 8 is pretty tight and i think youll see AK here so much more than a set or straight.

Would anyone raise the turn here, or flat call?

Hmm, thats a tough spot. I lean towards calling. He could be doing this with AK-AJ pretty easily since he wont want you drawing on this board. Only hands we are worried about is 89 or pocket 66/77 and his shoving range is a lot wider than that giving top two pair equity to call.

[/ QUOTE ]keep in mind that hero said he is nitty..do u think a nit would do that with ak or aj?

He's not exactly a nit, a bit more towards the nitty side postflop.

2 pairs can be really hard to play sometimes, and this is one of those tough spots.

What beats you: AA (not likely), TT/66/77/89

What he could have: AK (perhaps AK of spades?), AQs, AJ

I lean on folding on the turn because nits like that rarely do that without having the nuts, but I am very curious to know what he had.. could be a draw or overplaying AK/AQ..
