I'm trying to move over to NL after playing limit for a year and a half. At 6 max limit, ideal stats were something like 25 to 30% vpip with pfr 15 to 20%. One thing they say about NL is that you can play more hands because of the implied odds. When I see some of the better players post their NL 6 max stats they often look like 22/10 or something like that which is contrary to what I've read. What's the deal?

So why are you leaving Limit to play NL? Just curious.

I was a winner at limit, but I only played it for the easy money I made at bonuswhoring. Whoring is now basically dead, and if you check out the limit forum you'll see guys with 500bb+ downswings. I found that even at the micros the number of fish were steadily dying...without bonuses playing anything less than 5/10 limit is a waste of time, and I have no interest in putting more time in a game that will yield 1bb/100 with high variance.

Which means more rakeback! Rakeback is how you win at NL.. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Theres a new book out by 2+2 i think its called Winning Tough Limit Games. Maybe that will help you beat them tough games in limit.
