the only hand here that im really ahead of is a flush draw. any flush draw and a pair is basically a toss up, a set is possible and he could have flopped a flush in which case im drawing dead. Would anyway push/just call here?

[/ QUOTE ]Even if he has a flush draw here he likely has overs and a flush draw or a pair+fd to your 99 here both of which are favorites over your hand. As you said he can be protecting a set here as well and a baby flush too so folding seems smart.

Very disciplined fold. I think without a read this is okay. Standard reverse implied odds situation.

on a side note, if im villain and you call this flop im double barreling a non 4 flush turn exactly 100% of the time. puts this sorta hand in a super tough spot.
