BB: 53/14/1 58 hands
UG: 17/13/6 200 hands

So a probable donk and a solid semi-reg.

Very simple scenario: I have AK, IP, 3bet pot, 3 way and I don't cbet or call/raise turn.

I guess my issues were the postflop aggro of UTG, the dry flop, the unpredicability of BB, their ranges for calling 3bets and my desire not to spew or try to get guys to fold hands they just ain't gonna fold.

Fwiw, against 1 villain I bet this flop c.100% of the time.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

U have any reason to suspect a check/raise here?

The most common mistake at this level is calling too much preflop. Bet $12 on the flop and fold to a re-raise but you take it down like 50% of the time anyway. Especially on that flop because very few are drawing.

-$12X5 = -$60
$18X5 = $90

I think you cbet this flop. This is very easy to get away from if met with any resistance.

Why did you not Cbet?

what size cbet, 1/2pot, 3/4pot, or full pot ?

Around 12-13.. doesn't need to be too big because you would make smaller bets on this board to encourage calls from weaker hands (if you had a hand) so you should bet smaller to limit your losses but enough to not get people to call with bottom pair or some kind of draw (like 76 or something weird)

I'm going against the grain here, I usually don't c-bet against 2 opponents here and on this particular board. The loose passive guy could have alot that he would call with IMO.

I just think it's too passive to give up this hand without any fight at all.. if you only bet when you have a monster when there are 2 other villains in the pot, you're never gonna get action unless you run into a setup hand.

It's not that I never fire but this board texture is likely to get a call by the donk if not both of them if the original raiser gets stubborn w/99 or the like.

I really think just the opposite - this texture is great because it doesn't hit many hands. The LP donk can have something as bad as KQ, and if UTG decides to call, we can fire another barrel on the turn or we could even improve to the best hand.
