Villain was bad (loose/passive preflop) but not remarkable and ok postflop.

No Limit Hold'em Ring Game (6 max) , 6 players
Blinds : $0.10/$0.25

Stacks:
UTG : $86.65
Hero : $25.15
CO : $21.20
Button : $24.65
SB : $6.75
BB : $23.50

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is MP with 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif
UTG limps, Hero raises to $1.20, 4 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif 6/images/graemlins/heart.gif ($2.75, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2, UTG raises to $4, Hero calls ($2).

Turn: J/images/graemlins/spade.gif ($10.75, 2 players)
UTG bets $6.50, Hero ???

Also, anyone like 3-betting the flop? Or just fold the flop? (hard to fold to a min raise)

Call flop/fold turn against a passive villain

BTW he's not passive postflop just preflop - like 40/2 preflop. Seemed pretty average postflop.

That makes it closer IMO. Probably is still a fold tho

Fold the turn, probably limped with tens or something, either that or he made a set.

Could this not also be A5 or A6?

Rarely.

Fold the turn, otherwise it looks OK. Don't 3bet the flop.

My standard line here is to 3bet about 12. If he calls i put no more money in the pot, Unless i know hes an huge idiot and stacks off here w/ tpnk or second pair. I put him on a 4 or 6 for tp. Since we called his minraise and he bet agian I dont think hes on a draw so ur 88 is probly beat more than half the time. But im not sure.

Why dont you guys like a 3bet? Is it a bad leak i have?

because you have to put in half your stack to "see if your good".

Okay, thanks guys, I've been out of it for a long time so I'm rusty and wondering how people are playing these days.

He showed T/images/graemlins/spade.gif6/images/graemlins/spade.gif BTW and typed "AK?" in the chat after I folded the turn.

Read the results (d'oh) but I was honestly going to advocate calling turn. Just something about his line doesn't seem strong. We're getting nearly 3/1 on our money in position on turn, and for that price I am not convived he doesn't have TP/random 4 often enough to make this a call.

I only call a modest small bet on blank river, but very often expect to see a check.
